Eleanor Broomfield (soprano) recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a First Class honours degree under the tutelage of Julie Kennard and Gareth Hancock. She is now on the preparatory opera course on scholarship under the guidance of Lillian Watson and Audrey Hyland/Jonathan Papp.

Operatic experience includes Amor (cover) Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice (Longborough Opera House), Young Vixen Janacek The Cunning Little Vixen (Longborough Opera House), Belinda Purcell Dido and Aeneas (Pro Anima Orchestra), Shepherd Boy Puccini Tosca (Nevill Holt Opera), Bridesmaid Weber Der Freischütz (Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment) conducted by Sir Mark Elder and First Witch Purcell Dido and Aeneas (The Grange). Eleanor has played the roles of Gianetta, Eurydice and Despina in the Festival Camogli in Italy, and has played Tiny, NanettaPuck and Gretel in Royal Academy of Music Opera scenes. Opera choruses include The Elixir of Love and Tosca (Nevill Holt Opera), Orfeo ed Euridice (Longborough Opera House), Ariodante, Alcina, Le Nozze di Figaro and Suor Angelica (Royal Academy Opera) as well as working with British Youth Opera on their summer workshop programmes.

Concert performances include Haydn Heiligmesse (City of London Choir/Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) at Cadogan Hall, Haydn Kleineorgel Messe/Mozart Laudate Dominum K339 (Cambridge Philharmonic Society) at St John's Chapel, Christmas Oratorio (Oxford Harmonic Choir/Orchestra of Stowe Opera) at Oxford Town Hall, M.Haydn Requiem (Arun Choral Society) at Arundel Cathedral, Handel Messiah (Orchestra of the Swan) (Guernsey Orchestral Society), St John Passion (English Symphony Orchestra), Vivaldi Gloria, Poulenc Gloria, Britten Rejoice in the LambBach Missa Brevis in G major, Mozart Coronation Mass, Regina Coeli in C major (English String Orchestra), Haydn Nelson Mass (Stratford-upon-Avon Choral Society/Central England Camerata), CPE Bach Magnificat (Regency Sinfonia) Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle (Wendover Choral Society) and Dvorak Mass in D (Lymington Choral Society). Eleanor is also a soloist for the Academy's prestigious Academy/Kohn Foundation Bach Cantata Series and has had the opportunity to work one-to-one with Philippe Herreweghe and Jane Glover.

Eleanor also takes great joy in performing song and is part of the prestigious Academy Song Circle. She has given recitals around London including at The Queen's Gallery Buckingham Palace, St Bride’s Fleet Street, St Botolph without Aldgate, St James’ Paddington and Faversham Assembly Rooms. She has had the pleasure of working with Susan Bullock, Ann Murray, Rosalind Plowright, Yvonne Kenny, Iain Burnside and Malcolm Martineau.
