Eleanor Broomfield is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where she studied on the Undergraduate and Preparatory Opera courses. She is also a graduate of the Handel House Talent Scheme and held a creative residency at the Red House through Britten Pears Arts.

This year she was a Young Artist at Opera Holland Park, where she sang the role of Dew Fairy in their production of Hansel and Gretel. As well as being an Emerging Artist at Longborough Opera where she performed the role of Hermia in The Fairy Queen.

Operatic experience includes touring with the Merry Opera Company, Sandmann/Dew Fairy Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel (Longborough Opera) Tytania (cover) Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Nevill Holt Opera) Juno/Melanto (cover) Monteverdi The Return of Ulysses, Amor (cover) Gluck Orfeo ed Euridice, Belinda Purcell Dido and Aeneas (Pro Anima Orchestra) Bridesmaid Weber Der Freischütz (Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment) conducted by Sir Mark Elder and First Witch Purcell Dido and Aeneas (The Grange).

Concert performances include Haydn Heiligmesse (City of London Choir/Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) at Cadogan Hall, Haydn Kleineorgel Messe/Mozart Laudate Dominum K339 (Cambridge Philharmonic Society) at St John's Chapel, Bach Christmas Oratorio (Oxford Harmonic Choir/Orchestra of Stowe Opera) at Oxford Town Hall, M.Haydn Requiem (Arun Choral Society) at Arundel Cathedral, Handel Messiah (Cheltenham Bach Choir) (Orchestra of the Swan) (Guernsey Orchestral Society), St John Passion (English Symphony Orchestra), Poulenc Gloria (English String Orchestra), Haydn Nelson Mass (Stratford-upon-Avon Choral Society/Central England Camerata), Bach Magnificat (Hanover Choir) CPE Bach Magnificat (Regency Sinfonia) Haydn The Creation (Wantage Choral Society) and Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle (Wendover Choral Society). Eleanor has also worked extensively with Philippe Herreweghe and Jane Glover as part of the Academy/Kohn Bach Cantata series.

Eleanor also takes great joy in performing song has given recitals at The Queen's Gallery Buckingham Palace, Italian Cultural Institute, Oxford Lieder Festival with Toby Spence and Ryan Wigglesworth, the East India Club and Chipping Campden Music Festival.

Most recently, Eleanor made her debut with the English National Ballet in their production of Les Noces at Sadler’s Wells.
