Eleanor Broomfield is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where she graduated with honours on both the Undergraduate and Preparatory Opera courses. She is also a graduate of the Handel House Talent Scheme and held a creative residency at the Red House.
Eleanor was a Young Artist at Opera Holland Park, where she sang the role of Dew Fairy in their production of Hansel and Gretel. As well as being an Emerging Artist at Longborough Opera where she performed the role of Hermia in The Fairy Queen. She has also been a Young Artist at Nevill Holt Opera, covering the role of Tytania in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Other operatic experience includes touring with the Merry Opera Company, singing Sandmann/Dew Fairy Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel for Longborough Playground Opera. Singing Belinda Purcell Dido and Aeneas with the Pro Anima Orchestra, Bridesmaid Weber Der Freischütz with Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment conducted by Sir Mark Elder and First Witch Purcell Dido and Aeneas at The Grange. As well as covering Juno/Melanto Monteverdi The Return of Ulysses and Amor Gluck Orfeo ed Euridice for Longborough Opera. Most recently, she covered the role of Adina in Longborough’s Playground production of L’elisir d’amore.

Baroque music makes up a large part of Eleanor’s repertoire and she has worked extensively with Philippe Herreweghe and Jane Glover as part of the Academy/Kohn Bach Cantata series. She also enjoys working regularly with the Instruments of Time and Truth, performing lesser known baroque music.
Eleanor takes great joy in performing song and has given recitals at The Queen's Gallery Buckingham Palace, Italian Cultural Institute, Oxford Lieder Festival with Toby Spence and Ryan Wigglesworth, the East India Club and Chipping Campden Music Festival.
Recently, Eleanor made her debut with the English National Ballet in their production of Les Noces at Sadler’s Wells. 2025 highlights include making her company debut with Vache Baroque as La Fortune, as well as performing as a step out soloist and part of the ensemble in the UK premier of Wahnfried.
